We were honored to have Astha Chopra, BLU’s Chief Strategy and Technology Officer and Melissa Garcia Villa, BLU’s Marketing & Communications Director show support at the American Heart Association’s Broward Heart Walk Executive Leadership Breakfast this morning. The event brought together community leaders and advocates united in one mission, to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

Led by Heart Walk Chair Drew Tyrer, CEO of HCA Florida Westside Hospital, the breakfast highlighted the life-saving impact of CPR awareness and the collective power of community engagement.

Each year, more than 350,000 people in the U.S. experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital. One major reason: bystander CPR is performed less than half the time. The American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesavers initiative aims to change that by empowering individuals, workplaces, and communities to respond confidently in cardiac emergencies through CPR training, improved access to AEDs, and education that saves lives.

BLU by ThriveWell™ proudly supports initiatives like these that align with our mission, to add ThriveYears™ by optimizing Our 5 Drivers of Health and Wellness© and bringing the best of evidence-based longevity medicine to those we serve. Together, we can build a stronger, more heart-smart Broward County. We look forward to participating in future events hosted by the American Heart Association and participating again in the Heart Walk Leadership Breakfast next year!
