On November 3, 2026, BLU by ThriveWell® welcomed approximately 85–100 members of the Pine Crest School Lower School Family Association (LSFA) for its quarterly meeting, bringing together parents, school leadership, and community members for a morning of meaningful conversation, learning, and connection.

Held at BLU's 20,000-square-foot longevity facility in Fort Lauderdale, the gathering offered a welcoming space for Pine Crest families to connect over coffee before transitioning into a program focused on encouraging children's independence and strengthening the school community.

A Shared Commitment to Family and Community

Dr. Jessica Chen, Co-Founder and Chief Wellness Officer of BLU by ThriveWell®, welcomed attendees and expressed her appreciation to the Pine Crest community for choosing BLU as the setting for their gathering.

As a Pine Crest parent herself, Dr. Chen shared her personal connection to the school and recognized Dr. Promnitz, highlighting their longstanding relationship and the value of the guidance she has experienced firsthand.

Her remarks reflected the natural connection between BLU and Pine Crest: a shared appreciation for education, personal development, and creating environments where individuals and families can thrive.

Encouraging Independence: A Conversation for Parents

A highlight of the morning was a presentation titled "Encouraging Independence," led by Dr. Kristin Shealy and Dr. Krista Promnitz.

The discussion offered parents an opportunity to reflect on the importance of fostering independence in children, encouraging personal growth, and supporting their development through different stages of childhood.

Following the presentation, LSFA leadership shared updates on upcoming school initiatives and community activities.

A Little Surprise and a Step Toward Longevity

To make the morning even more memorable, one lucky attendee received a special gift from BLU, offering an opportunity to take a meaningful step toward understanding her health and longevity.

At BLU, we believe that understanding your personal health metrics is an important starting point for making informed decisions about your future. Through advanced assessments and personalized guidance, individuals can gain valuable insights into their health and identify opportunities to support their long-term well-being.

Guests were also invited to explore the BLU facility and discover its integrated approach to longevity medicine, advanced fitness, nutrition, recovery, and community.

Strengthening Connections Beyond the Classroom

The gathering reminded everyone that meaningful community connections extend beyond the classroom. By bringing families together in spaces that encourage conversation, learning, and shared experiences, organizations like Pine Crest and BLU help foster relationships that enrich the broader Fort Lauderdale community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the entire LSFA leadership team, especially Sonal Barry and Lynn Sasso, Director of Parent Programs and Admission Counselor at Pine Crest School, as well as Dr. Shealy, Dr. Promnitz, and the entire Pine Crest community for choosing BLU as the setting for such a meaningful morning.

We look forward to continuing to build meaningful connections with Pine Crest families and supporting opportunities that bring our community together.
