Our team, alongside BLU Members, was proud to participate in the 2026 American Heart Association Heart Walk this weekend, at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. This annual event brought together individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations to support heart health, promote awareness, and raise lifesaving funds.
The Heart Walk was more than just a walk; it was a powerful community event that celebrated health, inspired action, and supported the American Heart Association’s ongoing mission to fight heart disease and stroke, the nation’s number one killer. Participants of all ages and abilities joined together to move, learn, donate, and encourage althier lifestyles while contributing to critical research, CPR education programs, and local health initiatives.
Everyone's participation demonstrated BLU’s commitment to holistic well‑being, heart health awareness, and meaningful community causes.
The event offered a variety of engaging experiences for walkers and supporters throughout the day. Participants kicked off the walk at the Start Line, sponsored by Rick Case Automotive Group, before visiting the Rock Your Smile Station to transform a rock into a symbol of gratitude, thanks to Solstice Benefits. Along the route, walkers completed fun challenges and received giveaways at the Move More Tent, discovered healthy recipe ideas at the Refreshments Tent sponsored by JM Family Enterprises, and stayed refreshed at the Hydration Station provided by LifeSync. Attendees also took time for wellness at the Stomp Out Stress area, sponsored by Florida Power & Light Company, and enjoyed meeting four‑legged friends at the Encompass Health Therapy Dogs station. Many shared appreciations with others at the Gratitude Wall brought by Florida Blue, and the walk concluded at the finish line, where participants celebrated completing the route and received cooling towels sponsored by B&I Contractors.
These activities made the Heart Walk an engaging, educational, and memorable experience for participants of all ages and interests.
Every step taken at the Heart Walk contributed to a larger mission: fostering healthier lives in our community, supporting urgent research, expanding lifesaving education, such as CPR training, and encouraging healthier heart habits for everyone. Events like the Heart Walk unite people around a shared purpose: to save lives and make heart health a priority for all.
We were proud to walk alongside fellow supporters and grateful to the event sponsors and volunteers who made this powerful initiative possible.
