On October 14, 2026, BLU by ThriveWell® proudly joined Cleveland Clinic Florida for its annual Get Your Pink On event at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital, an evening dedicated to breast cancer awareness, education, and community support.
As the event's Health Lecture Sponsor, BLU reinforced its commitment to proactive healthcare, early detection, and empowering women with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their health.
The event brought together patients, survivors, families, caregivers, and community members to honor those affected by breast cancer, celebrate survivors, and support individuals undergoing treatment.
Representing BLU, Juliet Interiano, APRN, FNP-BC, Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in longevity medicine, delivered opening remarks emphasizing the importance of education, prevention, and proactive healthcare.
“October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and while we often associate this month with the color pink, it represents something much deeper. It’s about the women and families whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.”
Juliet highlighted the connection between longevity medicine and proactive health management, reminding attendees that living longer is only part of the equation.
“In longevity medicine, we talk a lot about healthspan, not simply how long we live, but how well we live.”
Her message encouraged women to understand their personal risk factors, stay informed about recommended screenings, recognize changes in their bodies, and maintain open conversations with their healthcare providers.
As part of the evening's educational program, three Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital physicians shared valuable insights into breast cancer treatment, recovery, and ongoing care.
Lindsey Herrod, DO, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, presented Understanding Breast Reconstruction: A Comprehensive Overview, exploring an important aspect of care and recovery for women navigating breast cancer.
Carmel Celestin, MD, Vascular Medicine Physician, discussed Lymphedema After Breast Cancer: Recognition, Prevention and New Treatments, highlighting the importance of recognizing and managing a condition that can affect patients following treatment.
Cassann Blake, MD, Breast Surgical Oncologist, presented Less is More: Lymph Node Management in Breast Cancer, offering insights into evolving approaches to surgical care.
Together, these presentations reinforced the importance of education, informed decision-making, and access to specialized care throughout the breast cancer experience.
At BLU, we believe that better health begins with knowledge, personalized care, and meaningful action.
While breast cancer cannot always be prevented, understanding individual risk factors and following appropriate screening recommendations can support earlier detection and more informed healthcare decisions.
Community also plays an important role. Events like Get Your Pink On create opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen connections, and remind those affected by breast cancer that they are not alone.
As Juliet shared during her remarks:
“Early detection matters. Education matters. And having a supportive community around us matters just as much.”
BLU is honored to support Cleveland Clinic Florida in raising awareness of breast cancer and advancing conversations about women's health.
Our participation reflects a shared belief that empowering individuals with knowledge, encouraging proactive care, and fostering supportive communities can make a meaningful difference.
Because awareness is only the beginning. What we do with that awareness matters most.
