There is something special about coming together to take care of the place we call home.
On Saturday, September 12, BLU Members and team members, including co-founders Dr. Jessica and Gordon Chen, gathered at Las Olas Beach for our monthly beach cleanup in partnership with Rotary Broward and Rotary Fort Lauderdale.
It was a beautiful South Florida morning, with great weather, good conversation, and plenty of time to connect with one another and with the ocean. But most of all, it was a reminder that making an impact does not always require something big. Sometimes, it simply means showing up.
Thousands of people enjoy our shoreline every month. It is part of what makes Fort Lauderdale such a special place to live, work, and spend time together. So we believe in giving a little of our time back to help care for it.
These mornings are about more than picking up litter. They are an opportunity to build community, connect beyond the walls of BLU, meet fellow members and team members, and do something meaningful together.
We are grateful to everyone who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and gave their time to make our shoreline a little better.
Better health isn't only about how we care for ourselves. It is also about how we care for the people and places around us.
