Position Overview
The Café Associate is responsible for delivering a high-quality café experience that aligns with BLU’s commitment to health, hospitality, and excellence. This role includes preparing and serving menu items, supporting members with orders, and maintaining a clean, efficient café environment.
Core Responsibilities
Member Experience & Service
- Greet members and guests in a professional and welcoming manner
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on menu items and ingredients
- Accurately take and process orders using POS systems
- Deliver a warm, elevated hospitality experience
Food & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare coffee, smoothies, açaí bowls, and café items per standardized recipes
- Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and portioning
- Maintain efficiency during high-volume periods
Cleanliness & Organization Inventory & Operations Support
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure café displays remain visually appealing
Inventory & Operations Support
- Monitor ingredient levels and café supplies throughout shifts
- Track inventory usage and notify management when supplies are running low
- Assist with stocking, labeling, and organizing café products and ingredients
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the front desk staff and operations team
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on delivering exceptional member experiences
- Maintain a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and operational efficiency
Ideal Candidate
- Previous café, coffee shop, juice bar, or hospitality experience preferred
- Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of functional foods, clean ingredient sourcing, and health-conscious prep methods
- Confident communicator with a polished, professional demeanor
- Strong multitasker who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy setting
- Familiarity with iOS-based apps, POS systems, or wellness platforms is a plus
- Passion for wellness, hospitality, and longevity-focused nutrition
- Weekend availability required; flexibility is a plus
