This week’s Wellness Wednesday focused on Balancing Stress and Increasing Longevity, bringing together education, movement, and community in an intentional and restorative experience.

The event began on Pickleball Court 3 with a visually guided presentation on understanding stress and its effects on the mind and body. Guests explored the stress cycle, learning that stress is a natural response, but when it goes unreleased, it can remain stored in the body, impacting digestion, sleep, hormones, immune health, and aging. The session emphasized that longevity isn’t about eliminating stress, but about learning how to regulate, recover, and restore balance.

Following the presentation, attendees transitioned into a grounding mini yoga session led by Christina Krac, BLU’s yoga instructor. Through gentle movement and breathwork, guests were guided out of survival mode and into a state of calm, helping embody the concepts discussed earlier.

The experience was complemented by nourishing refreshments, including BLU's signature banana bread smoothie and a healthy twist on oatmeal cookies, reinforcing the evening’s focus on balance and intentional living.
